Time to cross the Armstrong Line

Dear Friends,

I am sharing the Document II Milestone 2020, the second of two documents on Human in Space Programme of India, an update in 2020, as perceived by me. I am also sharing Document I, even though it may be a repeat for many of you, only because there is a seamless connect between the two documents.

The documents are accessible via the below links:

(1) The Indian Human Space Programme Milestone 2018 Document I – By Dr.Pankaj Tyagi

(2) Aerospace Document II Milestone 2020 Preparation Step 1 Space Travel Part I Pankaj May 2020 Final

The subject of ‘Space’, may be of less interest to you, for the moment, but I can assure you, that in next 2 years, that is by 2022, you will witness the new avatar of civil aviation, from what you are used to seeing today. Many will dare to cross the “Armstrong Line” repeatedly, hopefully we in India will also get ready to do so. For passengers the flight times will shift to few hours to reach anywhere in the world. For aircrew the cockpits are going to transform to strange looking controls and instruments. Many of my young friends will be commanding the new cockpits in very near future.

Now, is the time for us, to plan for transformation of travel and be ready to bring in a conceptual change to plan our airports, the controlling towers, the new satellite tracking systems, new training and simulators that will take safety to levels, never seen before. Hence these documents and those coming up in future, are relevant to you too.

Walk with me to the new world of “Travel” and “Dare to dream”.

Lastly, to my friends in aviation or otherwise, I share because I live in this exciting time of dawn of the era of SpaceTravel. We are back in time in 1903, when Wright brothers were daring to dream.

Wait for the document on Hypersonic Flying coming soon.

Many happy landings.
